Background

Galaxy is a component of Yahoo! Mail (one of the most complicated MVC apps in JavaScript on the planet) as part of Rushmore that enables consumption of events from both the Yahoo and Facebook networks without having to leave Mail. As part of the Tiger Team, I have been brought in as a front-end engineer to help meet deadlines by implementing features.

Achievements

  • Adding and testing front-end functionality in Yahoo Mail.
  • Ensuring cross-browser compatibility for IE 6/7/8 on XP & Vista, Safari 4, and Firefox 2/3.
  • Helping to improve the team's recruitment and hiring processes.
